Photoshop and Pictures

I worked with ten images in photoshop,among them I have choose three which are related to my research topic.

First one is the cofee cup. I gave it to brigh illuinous color from black background. I have used Office paint and photoshop for this. At first I created a background using gradient tool,then i pasted the cofee cup(black) on the gradiet backfround.Later,I changed its layer according to its luminisity.

The second one is The smucker's commercial.Here,I took the frst copy,then I went to Filter then clicked Render,later Lighting effects. I changed the light circle's value to get differrent light effect.

The Third one is the red apple.The original one is the tomato. But I have change its color and made it a green apple! I used the same method as the first one.I used cut/paste,layers.

A award wining culinary artist-Nir Adar.

I was seraching about "food artist" only,then I saw in the wilson web about Nir Adar.I think Nir Adar is such a good food artist that I would better call him as food stylist. He has presented food with style.
Mr.Adar is currently working New york. He has done few successful exhibitons. Also his,work was published for for "Food Arts Magazine”, "The New York Times”, "New York Magazine” and other various international publications. His current series named “deliciously disgusting” is on display at the French Biennale. During the 2004 Chocolate Show in New York City Adar created the "memories wall" dedicated to the fight against AIDS which a very successful show.
He currently won 2005 environmental graphic project.The project is awesome,he used different kinds of foods to show his creativity.

Driving own studies and the benefits of research

As an art student, researching is very important part of my study. Art and design is something that constantly changing. To stay up to date, I research my desired topic. For example, for basic design project, I research various types design and logos because its a class about problem solving through designing. Where as, for art history class, I try to find terms and historical images, terms and documents on the WIkipedia, encyclopedia etc various websites. On the other hand,online databases are usefull to check both contemporary and traditional artist’s work. Since, online and databases are
Vast, it is not easy to get a desired result online. Sometimes I get search engine's result within two second but nothing to the point and useful.For example, when I am searching for food exhibition in the U.S, search engines shows enormous result. Therefore, according to me “educated search” is important. Educated search is not just a mere search; it should have keyword, correct wildcard and reliable database. Since, information has to be correct and factual for educational purpose. Databases like Encyclopedia Britannica, wilsonweb, YLEM are consistent and trustworthy. A proper search makes a research interesting, easy and time saving.

Chocolatier-Prudence Emma Staite

Chocolate is one of my favorite foods. I was searching food artist on the web, then I saw Prudence Emma Staite’s website. She is a chocolate artist which means she makes jewellary, gifts and showpieces from chocolate. Even, she had a few successful shows about chocolate goodies. Who said that food and cooking only for women?Nowdays, lot of male artist are getting into food art,one of them is Saxton Freymann.He used an exacto knife, he turned bananas into octopi, a pear into a bear, or oranges expressing a variety of moods.
